Newborn photography poses
Why choose a professional newborn photographer when I carry my cell phone around with me all the time? I have invested a lot of time and money to learn different newborn photography poses and pride myself on capturing those perfectly.
There are 10 main poses in newborn photography with different variations that allow me to be creative in my sessions. I would like to share some of my favorite and most popular newborn photography poses:
First is froggy pose that considers one of the most difficult and also is a composite image. It consists of 2, sometimes 3 images combined in photoshop for baby’s safety.

Second pose calls bum up. Baby is on his tummy for this pose with her bum up, some photographers call it tushy up. This is one of my most favorite poses that allows for different angles and variations

Third pose looks simple but can be difficult to achieve. I love to align baby’s hands together and use headbands or bonnets.

Wrapped poses are a big part of the newborn photo sessions and can add some beautiful images to your session. I have mastered several technics of wrapping from simple to more complex. Flower wrap is beautiful and feminine, baby feels secure and warm at all times.

Newborn photography is my speciality and these poses can be achieve at most of my sessions. Baby is usually the boss during the shoot and I never force newborns in any positions. There are more poses to choose from but I suggest to stick with something simple when asking your photographer. These images will be passed on from generation to generation and you want your images to be clean and classic.
